Rochelle began dancing at the age of 5 and went on to further her studies in London and Los Angeles before completing a Full Time Performing Arts Course at Brent Street Studios in Sydney and gaining a Bachelor of Dance Education at ACPE (Australian College of Physical Education) with outstanding academic achievement. Rochelle has been teaching for 18 years and performing professionally for 13 years. Highlights of Rochelle’s career include the Baz Luhrman film “Moulin Rouge” starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, the Australian/ New Zealand Tour of “West Side Story”, the Asian Pacific Tour of “The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”, dancer for Kylie Minogue, John Farnham, Vanessa Amarossi and David Dixon amongst others including Jason Coleman (So You Think You Can Dance), Todd McKenney (Dancing With the Stars), Kelley Abbey and Caroline O’Connor.
She has appeared on numerous television shows including “The TV Week Logie Awards”, “IMT (In Melbourne Tonight)”, “The Ray Martin Show”, “Mornings With Kerri-Anne Kennerley”, “The ARIA Awards (Australian Record Industry Awards)”, “The Footy Show” and “Hey Hey Its Saturday” to name a few. Her dancing has taken her to perform in places such as Hawaii, Los Angeles, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and New Zealand and she has choreographed for The Starlight Foundation, Todd McKenney, Kostya Tszyu, The Miss Australia Pageant and Bloch for Dancers. She has lectured at ACPE, UTS Kuringai and currently teaches at Stella Maris College Manly and Brigidine College St.Ives preparing students for the HSC, competitions and careers in Performing Arts. Rochelle’s students are currently performing in “Dirty Dancing” on London’s West End, “Pulse 8 Contemporary Company” Sydney and numerous cruise ships across the globe. Her students have also performed in the Australian Tour of “The Lion King”, “Landesbuhnen Sachsen” and “Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe” Classical/Contemporary Companies in Germany and ‘Dance Tank Contemporary Company” Sydney with others studying in America, New Zealand, Germany and making their way as teachers themselves.
