Synergy Performance Studios year runs from July to June just like the financial year.  Due to this auditions are held at the end of June each year.  The audition period runs for 1-2 weeks only during which students attend the classes they wish to audition for.  In these classes students will be taught a routine which they will then perform in small groups.  Corner work and technique will also be assessed.  For more information please email Synergy.

WHEN DO I AUDITION?

Audition Period:  Tuesday June 7th - Friday June 17th 2011

For the auditions students are to attend the classes they wish to audition for.  Class work and a routine will be taught in the first week and students will be auditioned in the second week. 

WHAT IF I CANT ATTEND BOTH WEEKS OF AUDITIONS?

 If you can only attend one week of the auditions you will be auditioned at the end of each class that week.  If you can only attend one week it is best to attend the first week as I will go through the routines thoroughly the first week and only lightly recap them the second week. 

PLEASE NOTE:  You cannot audition for the Invitation Only classes.  These classes are by invite from the Principal Only.

WHAT CAN I AUDITION FOR?

Students can audition for any performance class however the classes in their age catagory are compulsory.  If they then wish to audition for older age catagories they are most welcome.  Performance classes on offer are all ages from 10 & under to Senior Open Age in the following catagories:

Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Lyrical

Some classes may be combined if there are not enough numbers.

Ages are as follows:

10/u - you must still be 10 years or younger by 30th June 2012 (next year)

12/u - you must still be 12 years or younger by 30th June 2012 (next year)

14/u - you must still be 14 years or younger by 30th June 2012 (next year)

Senior - You may be any age

Please consider your work load and other commitments when auditioning.  I would rather students attended a couple of classes and were happy and comfortable than attending the maximum amount of classes and becoming stressed and burnt out.

HOW DO I REGISTER TO AUDITION?

Students are to put their name down in the 'Audition Book' at Synergy Studios.  If you do not currently attend Synergy but would like to audition please email Rochelle with the clases you wish to try out for at: rj@rjsps.com.au

Once the auditions have been completed a propsed timetable will be handed out to all students showing the propsed dates and times for all classes.  The current timetable may not remain the same.
